Where to stay

For this route we suggest three nights in Puerto de la Cruz and two in Costa Adeje, with five full days available. This is an editorial choice to group the north and southwest; check your flights before booking. Staying in one hotel means more travelling, so drop some stops.

02

Getting around

A car makes mountain days easier, but you need not drive every day. Without one, stay near a bus station, check TITSA and consider a tour with confirmed pickup for Teide or Anaga. Do not assume every stop can be reached by bus within one day.

03

What to book first

Check the requirements for your specific trail on Tenerife ON. Cable car tickets and regulated trail access are separate arrangements. Visiting the national park’s landscapes is different from reaching the summit.

04

Packing and changing plans

Bring layers, water, sun protection and suitable footwear. Read official notices before leaving and avoid closed trails. In rough seas, swap the boat for an urban day; in poor mountain weather, move your Teide visit. We avoid fixed driving times that overlook traffic and stops.

Yes, with changes. Use urban connections for La Laguna and the north, and consider tours with pickup for mountain days. The transport selector suggests specific adjustments; it does not promise identical journeys.

Does the cable car include a summit permit?

Not by default. Check the exact product and consult Tenerife ON for regulated trails.

Can I book on IslaRoam?

No. We link to sources and external providers where you can check availability and conditions.
