HARÍA · JAMEOS / CUEVA

The north: towns and one carefully chosen centre

Morning

Travel north and choose Haría and the centre that most interests you: Jameos del Agua or Cueva de los Verdes. Adapt the order to your timed admission; you do not need to visit both.

Afternoon

With time and visibility to spare, consider a view towards La Graciosa. If the main visit takes longer, keep just the Haría walk and return without another major stop.

Plan ahead · With a car

Check parking and road conditions. Bring water, a wind layer and time to reach your reservation. The Haría House Museum and Tahíche Foundation are different places.

If plans change

In poor weather, closures or sold-out admissions, choose an open urban or cultural visit. Do not recover the north on flight day.

PLAYA BLANCA · PAPAGAYO · JANUBIO

The south: a cove, a walk or an experience

Morning

Choose the Playa Blanca and Papagayo area for a coastal day. Check access, wind and sea conditions; you can walk and observe without swimming.

Afternoon

Keep time for food and returning. A guided Janubio visit replaces part of the programme. If kayaking, follow the operator’s timing and instructions.

Plan ahead · With a car

Confirm access and parking for your actual visit. Allow time for the kayak or salt-pan meeting point: they are separate places and separate reservations.

Timanfaya and western landscapes

Morning

Arrange Montañas del Fuego around your confirmed visiting option and reservation. This is neither an unrestricted hiking route nor permission to drive through regulated areas.

Afternoon

With time to spare, an El Golfo landscape walk can complete the day. We do not add a long tasting, boat trip and second excursion after the park.

Plan ahead · With a car

Check official access and avoid duplicate tickets if your organised excursion already includes admission. Drive and park only where permitted.

Art, towns or a winery day

Morning

Choose the César Manrique Foundation in Tahíche or a Teguise walk as the main visit. Decide for your interests, mobility and accommodation area; you do not need every centre in one day.

Afternoon

Add Jardín de Cactus if the route and opening hours fit. If you prefer wine and landscape, replace this programme with a winery visit rather than adding it after every other stop.

Plan ahead · With a car

Park and explore each place on foot within permitted access. For wine tasting, arrange transport or a non-drinking driver. We do not propose driving after tasting.

DEPARTURE · THE FLIGHT COMES FIRST

Today, straight to ACE airport.

Given your timing or transport, no visits are scheduled today. Organise your transfer and airport formalities.

Before deciding whether to stop

  • Follow your airline’s arrival requirement and terminal instructions.
  • Check traffic, luggage, check-in, security and document checks.
  • Add time for fuel, rental return and reaching the terminal.

No Timanfaya, north, La Graciosa ferry, boat, surfing or scuba on flight day. Being nearby does not guarantee arriving on time.

Before planning your trip

Do I need a car to discover Lanzarote?

A car makes scattered visits easier, but you do not need to drive every day. Without one, check Intercity Lanzarote, choose fewer places each day and confirm pickup for an organised outing. We do not assume every map point has a useful public transport connection.

Can I enter Timanfaya and walk around independently?

The park has regulated visiting areas and arrangements. We do not present it as a place to drive or walk freely. Check the rules and your specific visit before booking.

Are tickets bought the same way for every centre?

No. Check the centre’s page and official calendar. CACT currently specifies timed online tickets for Montañas del Fuego and Cueva de los Verdes; an organised excursion may arrange access separately. Check your chosen option’s inclusions.

Is La Graciosa part of these five days?

We treat it as an optional excursion from Lanzarote. Allow for the harbour transfer, crossing and return: it replaces a day instead of being added to every other visit. It is never scheduled on flight day.

Do I book and pay on IslaRoam?

No. Commercial links take you to Viator to check dates, prices, restrictions and inclusions and complete the booking. An eligible, attributed reservation may earn IslaRoam a commission.
