Corralejo and El Cotillo: different beach choices
Choose Grandes Playas or an El Cotillo cove without treating every access as equivalent. A walk can be the whole plan when swimming is unappealing.
Respect flags and notices and confirm your return. We do not recommend swimming simply because a photograph shows calm water.
Lobos: organise permission and boat separately
Before landing, arrange the relevant LobosPass authorisation and check its date and conditions. A ferry ticket alone does not demonstrate access permission.
Confirm the pier, return and who handles authorisation. Carry what your outing needs and keep this excursion off flight day: sea conditions can affect the return.
Sotavento: water timing matters
Check Sotavento conditions for your date. The lagoon does not keep a fixed water level: agree the lesson’s location and timing with the centre.
Windsurfing, kitesurfing and wingfoiling are different disciplines. For a first attempt, choose instruction and confirm ability, equipment and wind-related changes. Rental is not instruction.
Sailing or surfing: one main experience
For sailing from Morro Jable, confirm the harbour and pick-up. Choose a trip fitting the southern day; wildlife sightings and swim stops are not guaranteed.
For northern surfing, let the school confirm the location for sea conditions. Do not add Lobos afterwards or squeeze it around a flight. Leave the rest of the day free.
