ISLAROAM / FUERTEVENTURA

Fuerteventura in 5 days: an itinerary for your trip

Your accommodation changes the order. Your transport changes how you visit. Your flight shapes the final day.

A TRIP WITH ROOM TO BREATHE

Five days, shaped around your stay.

We group visits by area and leave the last day for your flight. This is an editorial proposal: check transfers, bookings and opening conditions before deciding.

AN EXAMPLE TO START WITH

North · Corralejo / El Cotillo · driving

Four sightseeing days and a final day to leave with time to spare.

01

COSTA CALMA · SOTAVENTO · MORRO JABLE

Sotavento or Morro Jable: the south without overloading

Morning

Choose a Sotavento beach walk or an experience from Morro Jable. A lesson replaces the beach block.

Afternoon

Without a boat trip or lesson, stroll through Morro Jable. Cofete replaces the day and requires confirmed dedicated transport.

Planning your transport

Allow return time, especially when staying in the north. Do not add the Cofete track to a full day.

La Lajita: kayaking and snorkelling
Viator / experience provider · Affiliate link ↗

ORGANISED ALTERNATIVE

La Lajita: kayaking and snorkelling

A southern coastal experience replacing part of the beach programme. The meeting point is La Lajita, not Corralejo or El Cotillo.

Check physical suitability, sea conditions and pickup: the listing describes southern areas; travel from the north must be arranged separately. Not proposed on flight day.

If plans change

With unsuitable wind or sea, keep a walk or confirmed cultural visit. A cancelled boat trip does not move to flight day.

02

AJUY · PÁJARA

Ajuy: geological coast and an unhurried return

Morning

Visit Ajuy and follow only the signed access that conditions allow. The village and walk justify the outing.

Afternoon

Pájara can be a return stop if it suits your accommodation. Do not add Cofete or a sailing booking.

Planning your transport

Check access and park without blocking the village. Do not depend on continuous reception or fixed driving times.

Villages, viewpoints and Ajuy: central and southern excursion
Viator / experience provider · Affiliate link ↗

ORGANISED ALTERNATIVE

Villages, viewpoints and Ajuy: central and southern excursion

An organised landscape and village day covering inland stops, Ajuy and Sotavento according to the seller’s programme. Choose this excursion instead of the independent western itinerary.

Check the current route, pick-up and language before booking. Replaces the whole western day; confirm meals and admissions separately and do not add the independent programme afterwards.

If plans change

If cave access closes, do not seek another route over rocks. Keep the village visit or choose another area.

03

BETANCURIA · ANTIGUA

Betancuria and one Antigua visit

Morning

Spend the morning in Betancuria and choose the Archaeological Museum if open.

Afternoon

Antigua and the Cheese Museum can complete the day. La Alcogida is an alternative, not another compulsory stop.

Planning your transport

Allow for winding roads and parking. Never stop on the carriageway for scenery. After tasting alcohol, arrange a non-driving return.

Los Alares: cheesemaking workshop with breakfast
Viator / experience provider · Affiliate link ↗

ORGANISED ALTERNATIVE

Los Alares: cheesemaking workshop with breakfast

A hands-on experience at a Los Alares cheesery, with cheese-making and breakfast depending on the option. It replaces part of the cultural day.

Meet at Quesería La Casa del Queso Cabrera Pérez, Los Alares; transport is not assumed. Confirm timing, language, allergies and farm-participation conditions.

If plans change

Without admission, keep the walk and a meal. Confirm an alternative centre before travelling.

04

CORRALEJO · LAJARES · EL COTILLO

The north: dunes or a volcano with time to spare

Morning

Choose dunes or a Calderón Hondo walk as the main outing. There is no need to do both.

Afternoon

Stroll through Corralejo or El Cotillo according to your chosen location. Lobos replaces this whole day, not an add-on.

Planning your transport

Use designated parking and adapt the walk to wind. Never drive onto sand or unauthorised tracks.

A surfing lesson from Corralejo
Viator / experience provider · Affiliate link ↗

ORGANISED ALTERNATIVE

A surfing lesson from Corralejo

Spend part of the northern day learning with The Wild Surf Fuerteventura. The lesson location follows conditions and the group; no fixed beach is promised.

Confirm Corralejo pickup or the agreed meeting point, timing, level, equipment and participation requirements. Replace other visits that day; do not schedule it before your flight.

If plans change

In heat, wind or rough seas, keep a village walk. Do not move Lobos to flight day.

05

DEPARTURE · YOUR FLIGHT COMES FIRST

Today, straight to the airport FUE.

Until you know your flight time, keep this day free. Do not book an activity relying on a time buffer you cannot yet confirm.

Your base is far from the airport. Allow for a longer transfer and a backup if services or road conditions change.

  • Follow your airline’s arrival instructions; check traffic, check-in and security.
  • Allow time for fuel, rental return and reaching the terminal.
  • No ferries, boats, scuba diving, mountain routes or remote excursions on flight day.

Editorial proposal reviewed on 2 November 2026. No live traffic or availability; arrival for your flight is not guaranteed. Organised experiences replace visits rather than being added to an already full day.

Before planning your trip

Can I see it all in one day?

Choose the north, west or Cofete. These are different areas and the map does not calculate actual transfers.

Must I book every museum?

Each centre has its own arrangements. Check its official site before fixing your route.

Does the ferry include Lobos permission?

It depends on the service. Confirm who handles it and obtain confirmation rather than assuming it from your ticket.

FROM PLACE TO TRIP

Choose an experience. Give it time.

Organised excursions are alternatives to independent visits. You do not need to do both to enjoy the island.
