ISLAROAM / FUERTEVENTURA

Betancuria, villages and museums: another Fuerteventura

The interior deserves an unhurried day. A square, a museum and local food can reveal more than a string of quick stops.

Betancuria: begin with the village

Walk around Betancuria and choose an interior you would like to see. The village walk and Archaeological Museum are separate decisions; allow time to enter rather than only seeing façades.

Avoid adding the far south on the same day. By bus, build the outing around outbound and return services actually operating on your date.

Antigua: cheese and its context

The Majorero Cheese Museum can anchor an Antigua visit. Compare admission with tasting arrangements: not every activity comes with the same ticket.

A relaxed visit and nearby meal can complete the outing without another island crossing. Choose it for cultural interest, without obligatory shopping.

La Alcogida: a landscape people live in

At Tefía, La Alcogida introduces rural architecture and daily life. It is an alternative to collecting viewpoints when you would rather understand inland life.

Check opening and accessibility before travelling. Workshops and demonstrations depend on the programme; this guide does not promise them on every visit.

Salt pans and lighthouses: choose a coastal visit

Salinas del Carmen introduces salt production during an eastern outing. Stay in visitor areas and ask the museum about hands-on activities.

La Entallada can belong to another day or serve as an alternative for your accommodation area. Distinguish seeing the lighthouse outside from entering its rooms; confirm opening before travelling.
